Kris-Way Truck Leasing, Inc. is happy to welcome Good Shepherd Food Bank of Maine as a new business partner. As part of their effort to feed Maine’s hungry, Good Shepherd has upgraded their fleet with a new Full Service Lease on a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia tandem axle tractor.

Good Shepherd Food Bank distributes to more than 400 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other assistance programs statewide. Each year they move millions of pounds of food and maintain 3 distribution centers in Auburn, Brewer, and Biddeford.

A challenge in feeding Mainers who face hunger is also making sure that Good Shepherd is strong and financially viable. Part of that challenge is making sure the fleet of trucks needed to distribute the food is reliable and cost effective. Kris-Way’s contribution to that mission is providing not only a reliable tractor but also the 24 hour maintenance needed to keep it on the road. In addition, Kris-Way provides maintenance and road service for the remaining Good Shepherd vehicles from 6 locations throughout Maine.

According to Evan Keefer, Kris-Way’s Director of Business Development, “We came up with a very aggressive financial plan for Good Shepherd’s lease and maintenance program. They’re a great organization with a very worthwhile mission. It’s a mission we’re glad to be associated with.”

Kris-Way Truck Leasing, Inc., is New England’s largest independently owned truck leasing company. Locally owned and operated, Kris-Way has been in business since 1978 and is based in South Portland, ME.
