Jim Ryan - Vice President of Operations

Jim's career in the truck leasing business began in 1974 as an employee with Hertz Truck Rental. He was originally hired as a fueler and shortly thereafter came inside the garage to perform mechanical maintenance. Jim quickly rose from a technician to service manager. Then after only one year as a service manager, he was promoted to branch manager.

In 1978 Jim left the truck leasing industry and went to work for Noyes Tire Company as Truck Service Manager and then was promoted to store manager, a position he held for approximately three years. When Noyes Tire was sold Jim continued in the tire business in outside sales.

In 1987, Jim returned to the truck leasing industry and began his career with Kris-Way. Originally Jim was hired as Rental Manager and assisted the Transportation Department on a daily basis. As time progressed he took on the task of managing some of Kris-Way's smaller branches as well as retaining the position of Rental Manager. Later he assumed the responsibility of handling the role of Transportation Manager and retained the responsibilities of the Rental Manager. In 1996 Jim became Branch Manager of the largest facility located in South Portland. In January, 2003, he assumed the role of Vice President of Operations overseeing all Kris-Way operations.

1974-1978 - Hertz Truck Rental- performed various duties including fueling, garage maintenance, service manager, branch manager

1978-1983 - Noyes Tire Company-truck service manager and store manager

1983-1987 - Summit Tire of New England- outside sales

1987-present - Kris-Way Truck Leasing, Inc.-rental manager-transportation manager-branch manager-region manager-vice president of operations
