Avoid Fuel Tank Condensation
One winter challenge is gelled fuel due to cold weather and condensation. The best remedy for prevention is to keep your fuel tank full of fuel, especially before you park for the night. Tanks that are not full at the time they are abandoned for the day will, without question, develop condensation during the rest period. Full fuel tanks do not allow for condensation build up.
Any condensation will quickly freeze and or clog your filter and fuel lines causing serious power loss to your engine, or worse, a complete shut down of your fuel system. This may also be dangerous for you depending where you break down, how cold it is at the time, and the time it will take for someone to respond to you. Many shut down repairs can not be fixed on the road and must be towed into a facility. This will lead to lost time for you and interrupted service to your customers.
